Mexican Gin Rummy strategy
Strategy along with a good memory leads to a high percentage of success in Mexican Gin Rummy. The melds which are made by players should always have different valid combination. Also keep in mind that a sequence should not have more than eight cards, as a player will need to have at least two combination to meld the eleven cards. Thus when one of the combination is of eight cards, then the second combination can be a minimum one of 3 cards.

A good player always learns a variety of combination to stay ahead in Mexican Gin Rummy rules. Thus if there’s a situation where there is already a meld on the table with 3-4-5-6 and a player lands with a 6 besides another 6 in the hand, the player can take a 6 from the meld on the table and meld 3 sixes to form a new meld. And the old meld on the table is still valid, as it still has 3-4-5. Thus a player should know to use the opportunities which come their way in the best manner possible. The right strategy in Gin Rummy is the strategy which gives the best results for the player who wants to win.

A good player can also use a strategy of forcing the other player to use a face-up centre card, which has been thrown by the first player. Thus the other player has to use that card to add to the meld on the table and thus give up one card from his hand which would have otherwise been used to complete another meld and now the second player doesn’t have that option anymore and can get stuck forever as other combinations of melds might be very difficult with the cards left in the game.
