It begins with anywhere from two to nine players seated at the table. The chips are divided equally between all players and each then places a single chip on each of the areas of the board, including the pot, kitty, 10, Jack, King, Queen, Ace, and the 8,9,and 10 in a Tripoley Card Gamesingle suit.

The dealer shuffles the standard 52 card deck (with its jokers removed) and deals the cards to each player until all of the cards are distributed. This may mean that some players have one card more than others, but this is never a problem unless only a single round will be played.

All games begin with the Hearts round, which means that players with the money cards (those in the suit of Hearts) collect the chips from the appropriate areas. For instance, someone holding the King of Hearts would take all chips from that area of the board.

The players then move to the Poker round where each player selects their best five cards for a Poker hand, and the dealer then bets or checks. The play continues to their left and when the last player calls, the best hand wins all of the chips in the pot section of the board. The same as play Tripoley, other Rummy games

Finally, the players return their Poker cards to their remaining cards and the dealer lays their lowest card on the table. Each player is then required to do the same, but their card must be in the same suit. Play continues to all cards in a suit are revealed, and the one who placed the last card must then place the lowest card in their hand and the process resumes. The first player to put down their last card wins the chips in the kitty section. The remaining players must pay the winner one chip for each card they have remaining, and the round is ended. The player to the left of the dealer becomes the new dealer for the next round, and the process of adding chips to the various areas of the board will begin the new game.

This can continue indefinitely or the players can agree to stop at a certain prearranged level, such as when one player has no chips remaining.
